The Temptations Of Jesus Christ

Today we are going to talk about the temptation Jesus faced after doing his 40 days and 40 nights, have you ever sat down and pondered on what 40 days and 40 nights without food and water look like? if you have I do not think you would find it not funny at all.

Me personally I have pondered openly it most times and from the significant, I saw there, it was a great choice and not an easy task to take upon your yourself, probably he made have started it from the last 5 days of the first month and ended it the first five days of the last month to make the fasting more unique, with that on my mind I began to reason the significant in 3 months and how it can apply to us and the powers it holds withing.

Now in Mathew chapter 4, we understand that Jesus Christ fasted for 40 days and 40 nights after his fasting the devil came to test his power to see if he will succumb to his enticing words and promises he has and think that with Jesus Christ on the flesh he will be more weaker and is bound to fall for his words and promises, let us see from the scripture...

Mathew chapter 4:5-11

5 aThen the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 and saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands, they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not attempt the Lord thy God.

8 again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

9 and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt falls down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, aSatan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Hope you all learned many things from this very post, I would like to remind us that we should learn from these things Jesus christ did and how he was able to conquer the temptation Jesus faced.
